Far Cry 3 is a first person shooter. Most of the time you spend eliminating enemies by any means available. What makes this game different from most of competitive FPS games, is its freedom. Levels are usually open, giving you freedom to choose any tactics. You can either quietly assassinate your opponents or play in Rambo style, i.e. jump into the middle of an enemy camp with a battle cry on your mouth and a rifle in your hands. Another interesting element, is a simple RPG system. The progress in the campaign is rewarded with experience points that can be spent on new skills, grouped into the three paths: The Heron, The Spider, and The Shark. Each of these supports different combat style and makes the exploration of the archipelago somehow easier.
